VANCOUVER ISLAND – INCEPTION | TLog

January 12th, 2012

We had one of Devin Graham’s spectacular HD/Glidecam videos on Wanderism TLog before (and this likely isn’t the last we’ll see of him, either); Kauai never looked so amazing. And what he’s done for Hawaii he does here for Vancouver Island – one of our very favorite places. Thank you, Devin.

WE WERE WANDERERS | TLog

January 11th, 2012

Malaysia Joseph Conrad
As we’ve said before, travelogs these days come in all shapes and forms. While this isn’t your typical TLog (which is why we chose it), it evokes a timeless sense of place. Add the words of author Joseph Conrad and a simple music score, and you are transported into the heart of Malaysia.

NORTHERN LIGHTS | TLog

January 8th, 2012

Another time-lapse video, but this one is different. As the photographer, Ole Salomonsen himself says, “OK folks, this is it. Here is my first video project.” Well, we think this a terrific ‘first effort’ even if Ole is a professional photographer. Seeing the aurora borealis can be a awe-inspiring experience, and for those of us who may never get the chance, this video is pretty damn close – literally and figuratively.

NIKON D4 EXTREME | TLog

January 7th, 2012

The new Nikon D4 DSLR is about to hit the shelves, both literal and virtual, and this HD video will show you ‘Why’ it may just upset the genre’s apple cart. The specs on this thing — whether as a still camera or a full-frame HD camera — are truly astounding (with a price to match, I must say). But, once again, if you’re going to show off a piece of tech, add travel to the equation and the video becomes truly drool worthy!

BERLIN DYNAMIC | TLog

January 6th, 2012

With the arrival of HD video on DSLR cameras the whole sub-category of ‘timelapse’ video arrived with a vengeance. Some are okay, most aren’t, but a few are outstanding. We think this German video is pretty terrific.
