PYRAMID IN TRAINING

Location: El Giza, Egypt
On this trip I was quite surprised that I could actually sit on a pyramid, even though I was under the ever-watchful eye of security sitting on on a camel. Perhaps this small pyramid was a ‘proof of concept’ 4500 years ago.

When travelling in West Africa, I noticed a peculiar thing – Western tourists snubbed me.
I’m close enough to a group of white tourists in the market area of Takoradi, Ghana to determine they’re from an English-speaking nation. Likely Canada. If pressed, I’d say Ontario. Toronto, maybe?
They’re the perfect subjects to test my theory on something [...]

CAMEL CROSSING

No stop signs, no ‘I Brake For Camels’ bumper stickers, no ‘Be Alert For Wildlife On Road’, no flashing ‘Camel Crossing’ lights, just a half dozen ships of the desert meandering to market near the pyramids.
